President's Cup:
    - 4 years olds and upwards
    - 1,600 metres

Last year's successful debut at The Curragh saw almost 20,000 horse race enthusiasts enjoyed genuine Arabian hospitality and exciting purebred Arabian racing. Again this year, the weekend will feature an extensive array of cultural activities and displays.

In addition to the President's Cup race, the EEF has supported this weekend by sponsoring a number of thoroughbred races, including two Group One races: the Etihad Airways 1000 Guineas on Saturday, May 21 and the Abu Dhabi 2000 Guineas on Sunday, May 22.

Meaning 'a place of the running horse', the Curragh's horse racing legacy dates back to the early 1700s. The first-ever Irish Derby, an annual event that now attracts more than 20,000 enthusiastic race goers,  was held at this track in 1866.
