The President of the UAE Cup Series Launches its 2011 Season in Abu Dhabi
An evening of family fun on Sunday, February 6 at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club
February 1 2011, Abu Dhabi – The Emirates Equestrian Federation (EEF), organisers of the President of the UAE Cup Series, today announced that its debut 2011 race will be held in Abu Dhabi at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club on Sunday, February 6.
Featuring the most talented purebred Arabian horses in the UAE, the evening of flat racing promises to be both competitive and entertaining for the entire family.
“We are honoured to launch our 2011 season here in Abu Dhabi,” said Taleb Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the Emirates Equestrian Federation. “The nominations are particularly strong for the February 6 race, so spectators will see a thrilling race, as well as, experience an evening at the races as never before presented in Abu Dhabi.”
The event is open to the general public with free admission and free parking. Race goers can enjoy genuine Arabian culture at the Bedouin hospitality tent, featuring henna painting, calligraphy, a falconry display and traditional crafts of the UAE.
In addition, there are activities for the entire family, such as face painting, pony rides, arts & crafts, horse games and a football kicking competition.
Race goers will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win a trip for two to a President of the UAE Cup Series race in Europe this summer, courtesy of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and Etihad Airways, as well as, a drawing to win a car.
